THANK YOU xxx

I was recently contacted by a lovely chap from Bayard Books asking whether I would be interested in reviewing some children's books for him.  Would I ?  With 3 boys in the house, most definitely was the answer.

If you haven’t heard of Bayard before, they produce three monthly books for children - StoryBox (3-6 year olds), AdventureBox (6-9 year olds) and DiscoveryBox (9-12 year olds). They are jam-packed with exciting stories, characters, games and activities and can be enjoyed on their own and as a teaching aid.  Winners of Parent's choice Gold Awards too.

True to his word within days, 4 sets of books arrived !

Click on the link to see the overview on the books for this month's giveaway http://www.bayard-magazines.co.uk/gammebox/storybox.htm

To give maximum exposure to these great books I thought it might be a good idea to offer a set of books to 3 bloggers on a monthly basis.  All you need to do is send me a link from your blog mentioning this giveaway and with a story, feature, item etc which is related to children.  e.g. a day out with your children you enjoyed, an item you made for a child, a funny story about your child, children's clothes you sell, a favourite picture the list is endless, it doesn't have to be a new post all I ask is that the post is child related so that it fits in with the theme of my blog.

I'll post a link at the botom of the page for you to link to and each month I'll select 3 at random to receive the 3 book set. It's up to you what you do with the books, you can keep them or give them away on your own blog.

If you don't win a set you might want to take a subscription Bayard Books

This giveaway will run for one week from the start of the post and a new book giveaway will be posted on a monthly basis.

Read my boy's reviews on these fab books soon.

Also on the Discovery Box Magazine there is a wonderful competition in partnership with the WWF.  For more info you can visit them at http://www.wwf.org.uk/  please help to protect our beautiful planet.

Street Style Kids

Often when I am out and about with the twins I am asked where I buy their clothes from or how great they look.  All the photo's I use to sell clothes on my website are friends of my children or mum's from school.  Yesterday I saw a really cool looking mummy with her equally fab looking children.  The little boy had a great straw trilby on ( new post coming soon about my love of hats and Winter predictions) , too late I realised I should have spoken to her and asked for a picture. Lying in bed last night unable to sleep with the usual stuff fighting in my head I though what a great idea to have a STREET STYLE PAGE on my blog for children.  There are many sites dedicated to adult street style but apart from the awsome Plant Awsome Kids in America I have yet to come across one in the UK.
So here's the plan.  I would love you to send pictures of your little darlings in their coolest outfits. They don't have to be expensive designer pieces, just how you (or they) put the outfits together. You must be the parent guardian of the child(ren) or have consent to send me the pics. I'll post them in a gallery on my Street style kids page and if it takes off I may well develop it into a monthly prize for best pic.
To get started please post a comment and email your pic to info@allabouttheboys.co.uk

Child Star Planners

Described as an aid to everyday parenting and an ideal gift to last a lifetime, the Child Star Planners Guide gives a remarkable insight into your child's personailty.    Admitting to being a little sceptic when the topic was first raised during a casual conversation with a fellow mum from school, I agreed to Stephanie's kind offer to write a plan for my twins. I was not prepared for what she wrote.    Bare in mind at the time Stephanie was a casual aquaintance, she knew very little about me or my family except for the fact that my eldest son played as a team mate (not a close friend) in the same cricket team with her son at school.
Taking only the date, time, place, sex and names of the twins Stephanie told me she would have a plan written within the week.  Approx 35 pages including explanatory introduction.  The book starts with key words, ruling planet, and element. Stephanie begins with your child's needs, moves onto their nature, health, wealth ( Hubby was particularly interested in this section) likes, talents, their journey through life. A summary of helpful hints (do's and dont's) and a Summary.  It was packed full of accurate descriptions & interesting insights into the personalities of the twins and a book I get out for a quick read again and again.  I was so impressed I gave her a testimonal for her website.
A wonderful unique idea for a gift or just a special keepsake for you and your child.
Currently running a special Summer Madness offer why don't you just pop over and read more on this fascinating subject.
